Hello and welcome back to the blog. Today, I’ll be sharing my two-piece collection, thus far and I can’t wait for you to see all the lovely pieces I’ve thrifted over the years. I never really paid attention to two-piece clothing items till I started going thrifting as I thought they were always very formal and seeing that I’m more drawn to casual looks, I was a bit skeptical at first but I’m glad I took a chance on them as the rewards have been plentiful and will be evident in ‘rewards’ I’ll be sharing today. Are you as excited as I am to take a deep dive in to this two piece collection? Awesome! Let’s get this list started then.
Two Piece Collection:
Let’s kick the list off with this amazing, hounds tooth two piece by the brand, Breeches:
I picked this beauty up at DAV thrift store a couple of years ago and was surprised that the two pieces were still intact. I love the fact that it’s sleeveless as it give you the option to layer it on cooler days and wear it as is on warmer days but my favorite thing about this item is the fact that the skirt is a wrap skirt and not faux wrap, for that matter.
My next item would be this, Heart Soul two piece I picked up last black Friday:
I really love that the fabric is super light and breathable but they makers of this outfit outdid themselves by making the top, cold shoulder style with slits that run all through the length of the sleeves which in turn, makes it the perfect little outfit for those super warm summer days.
Next up, we have this two piece from the brand, Melrose that I got on my very last trip to the DAV thrift store:
I think of it as a really chill two piece that could be worn for more casual outings but I’m thinking, with the right shoes and accessories, it could be ‘dressed up’ for a semi-formal gathering.
The next item on the list would be this pretty,100% silk, two piece by the brand, Papell:
I totally adore the floral pattern to this piece. I though about taking off the shoulder pads on this but decided against it, last minute. This I got on the 30% sale day at DAV thrift and was definitely under or right about $10
Taking a break from the skirts, my next two items would be two piece outfits, with pants. First one would be, this two piece by the brand, C&A:
Tag says this outfit was made in West Germany but I’m not sure if the brand is German though. What I do know, is how much I love this set. How would I style this? I’d wear this to some semi-formal event with some black, chunky sandals and one of my envelope style thrifted, black purses.
The second one would be this, Darian two piece:
Got this one a while back but the funny thing is, I’ve never worn it out but if I were to style this, I’d keep it pretty simple with a pair of black, heeled sandals and a cute clutch. Being that it’s made of such a vibrant color, I’d keep my accessories, black.
Getting back to the skirts and the second to the last item on this list, we have this two piece set by the brand, Mosaic :
This piece is a winner in my book any day as the pattern of it’s fabric snake print and skirt is wrap style, not faux wrap, but an actual wrap skirt. Icing on the cake was not only how affordable it was but the fact that it still had it’s original tags and those extra buttons that vintage clothes came with. Sad part though is, it’s too big for me and not by just a little bit, but I’m looking to get it tailored soon enough, so yay to that 🙂
My last two-piece entry for the post would be, this gorgeous, green one that I picked up at Alamo thrift store:
This one sadly came with no tags so I can’t say anything about the brand but what I can tell you about this piece is that it’s super cute and has a great fit to it. I’m still trying to figure out how to style this one but I’m sure to find the perfect shoes and accessories that’d make this outfit standout in a crowd,
