Hello and welcome back to the blog! I see you couldn’t stay away for too long now, could you? I kid, of course, thanks for coming back, feel free to drop by anytime, okay? 🙂
So, this would be a continuation of the accessories post. The first post on accessories covered the amazing purses I’ve been able to score at thrift stores, vintage stores and even ebay! On this one, I intend to cover, belts.
Why the heck do you need a belt?
Ahhh, belts, where do I start? Can you imagine a world without them? I mean, let’s get a rundown of all the things these little wonders do, shall we?
- They help hold up our pants:
- Get our waists snatched
- Heck, they can take an outfit from zero to a hundred in an instant.
Makes you think huh? You’d better respect the belt :). All jokes aside though, they really could make or break an outfit. A pretty good illustration of this would be on TLC’s “Say yes to the dress”. I’ve seen so many episodes where a pretty picky bride puts on a dress, it looks amazing but they are still hesitant to say that they’ve finally found their dream dress at least till said dress gets belted and you can just see how it upgrades an already stunning dress to outrageously, stunning. It really is quite amazing to see the transformation that an item, so seemingly small, could produce.
A variety of belts I’ve found at the thrift store.
Now that you’ve had some time to reflect and hopefully, a new found respect for belts. let’s get right into these belts I’ve been lucky enough to find at my local thrift stores.
I’m kicking off the list with this black, leather, studded belt:
I especially love this one not only because it’s quite unique but because I got it for an amazingly low price of 30% off $3.98.
Next up, check out this red-hot beauty I got for 50% off $3.99
That’s roughly $2, y’all 🙂
Next, let’s go western with this brown stunner from Liquid Leather:
I honestly don’t remember how much I got it for but it would have been 30% off with a tag price of no more than $8.
Let’s slither on over to the next one on the list in this gorgeous red, snake print MZ belt that I got for only 50% of $4.98
Next up is a literally, star studded belt from J.G hook:
Got this for a low, low $3.98 and it was probably 30-50% off 🙂
Let’s do one more shall we? Let’s end this one with this beauty from Liz Claiborne:
I’ll bet you’ve seen it somewhere before 🙂
It was anywhere between 3 to 5 bucks but I don’t remember the exact price if I’m being honest.
Well, that’s all I have for the belts or at least the ones I’d like to share 🙂
I thank you for hanging around to check them out …..I’ll see you on my next one! Goodbye now 🙂
