Hi y’all, and welcome back 🙂
I hope you’ve been well, yes? oh, me? I’ve been good, thanks for asking?
So, we’ve established the fact that I’m a cheapskate, right? Not quite? Then please, see my previous posts if you have any doubts.
Anyways, moving on. So as a certified cheapskate, you know I have to raid discount stores like Ross, Marshalls and Burlington coat factory right? And that’s just naming a few, but since I have trust issues, I make sure I compare their prices to other stores on google cos the goal of EVERY business is still to make that money 😉
I’d actually stopped at a Burlington coat factory in San Antonio to get some supplies for my Birthday weekend, stopped at a Ross to get supplies while in Dallas, to check out the State fair but the Marshalls I stopped at was in Houston, not for a trip but for some everyday supplies.
That said, this is going to be a collective haul showing the items I still have intact and am yet to use.
You ready? Let’s get started:
Personal care items
I don’t know about you but as for me? I like to try out new products before I switch over to using them full time or adding them to my regimen and that’s where these discount stores shine. Well, at least in my book. You get to try out a variety of products to see if they actually work before you actually invest in paying full price for them if you don’t stock up on the spot or can’t find them the next time you drop by your local say, Marshall’s. Pretty neat to be able to do this, don’t you think?
Anyways, enough of my rambling, lol! Let’s get right into these items I found on my thrifty store outing. First up, my favorite find which would be this charcoal, foaming cleanser:
Got a pair for $3.99 a piece. I’ve been using it for just a week or so and it’s been pretty good 🙂
Next up, these sweet smelling sprays for the nether regions from the brand, Honey Pot:
These typically retail for any where from $7.99 to up to $15 depending on where you look. So you know what I did when I saw that they were $3.99, right? That’s right, I scooped up every last one without a trace or evidence that they were ever on the shelf in the first place.
Moving on, why don’t you feast your eyes on these Betsey cotton rounds:
Honestly got these cos I’d never seen them before. Cute, aren’t they?
Kitchen & Dinning
There’s no better feeling than finding authentic, vintage utensils at the thrift store. It’s amazing that a majority of the pieces I’ve found still had their cases and user manuals intact. It’s just amazing that the previous owners were so thoughtful and cared enough about the next person that would be using them. Something about that really melts my heart and I make it a point to get those pieces that were ‘donated with love’. Corny? Heck yeah but guess what, I love corny, especially when it’s from the heart :). These items weren’t thrifted but finding utensils at a discounted price would be the next best thing, yes? Let’s see what I was able to find to spruce up my kitchen, shall we? First up, check out these cute bowls I got for $8 a piece:
They’re hand crafted in Turkey, ceramic and retail for about $22, aren’t they just lovely?
Next up check out these really chic, black cups I got for $5.50 a piece:
They’re handcrafted in Mexico, from recycled glass and retail for about $10.
