Hello and welcome back to the blog! I hope you had a wonderful memorial day weekend? To those who served, are still serving but especially to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our dear country, we thank you all, for your service.
So, in addition to the long weekend, another perk I look forward to would be the 50% off sales that go on at most, if not all thrift stores and this one was no different. I had planned to leave super early, then go thrift store hopping given the sales but things didn’t work out as I’d planned and I headed out a lot later than I’d expected to and thought to go to this particular spot where there are two thrift stores literally side by side, that way, I would be able to hit two thrift stores at the very least. I ended up only buying stuff at my first stop not only because it was my preferred thrift store of the two, but because the second store was so crowded, that I literally could not breathe comfortably as soon I stepped in then I took one look at the check out line and was out the door faster than the speed of light 🙁 but, all was not lost, as I was able to find a few really awesome items at the one store I’d shopped at so, that more than compensated for the items I might have missed out on at the other store. That said, let’s dive right into my finds of the day.
My Memorial day thrift store raid haul:
First find up for review would be this beyond, gorgeous black and gold dress:
The tags to this dress were cut off so sadly, I can’t tell who designed or made it but, its outer layer is made out of some chiffon- like fabric and given the see-through nature of the the fabric, it was lined with a thicker fabric and also has some gold embroidery on the top half of it. Originally priced $11.99, I picked this off for half the price and was so, so pleased with this purchase.
My next find is also a dress and might have been donated by the same person as it’s also embroidered and seems to be of the same make as my previous find:
This also had a tag price of $11.99 but since everything in store was 50% off, I got it for half of that 🙂
The next item is another vintage dress by the brand, Periwinkle USA:
Originally priced $7.99, I picked this beauty up for half the price and couldn’t be happier with the purchase.
Next item up is a Vinyl, and would you believe that I found another one of these:
Now I have a pair of them and, don’t they just look great together? The regular price of the vinyl was $1, meaning I paid 50 cents for this masterpiece, not too shabby, huh?
My last entry for the day would be these gorgeous earrings I picked up for about $1.50 a pair,
since each set was priced $2.99 and, was quite happy that I’d decided to look at the jewelry display that day as I typically shy away from looking through the jewelry.
That would be it for this post, I know it’s a rather short one but I would like to be more cautious and make each purchase a meaningful and well thought out one. Thank you much for stopping by the blog and I’ll be seeing you on my next post. Take care now.
