Hello and welcome back to the blog!
On my previous post, I mentioned my search for ripped jeans right? So, I decided to visit one of my favorite thrift stores to see if I could find a pair on sale. Everything was going smoothly until I stumbled upon a vintage blazer that caught my eye, leading me to deviate from my mission of finding ripped jeans. Despite my initial plan, I ended up adding the blazer to my cart and getting distracted by other items in the store, completely forgetting about the jeans.
On a positive note, I managed to find many great items during this thrift store visit. While most of the items were vintage, I also couldn’t resist some non-vintage pieces that were too good to leave behind.
Now that I’ve clarified that, let’s delve into the treasures I discovered during this shopping spree.
My Loot:
During my treasure hunt at the thrift store, the vintage blazer was just the beginning of my unexpected finds:
I picked this Sag Harbor Blazer up for 35% off the tag price of $4.98 and as I roamed the aisles, my eyes landed on a yet another Blazer that I couldn’t resist trying on and at this point, “operation ripped jeans” was all over:
This Affluence jacket, I picked up for 35% off the tag price of $9.98. I have a feeling it might have been part of a two piece set but once I tried it on, I knew it was going home with me.
Just when I thought my luck couldn’t get any better, I spotted a pretty little dress on the rack the next aisle over.
Now I’m typically very picky when it comes to Ankara fabric, but I found myself envisioning different ways to style this dress up.
I picked this one up for 35% off $6.98 and don’t regret it for one second.
As I continued my exploration of the store, this unique, camouflage cardigan by the brand, Alison Andrews drew me in and I knew it would be the perfect addition to my collection:
I picked this one up for 50% off the tag price of $9.98 as it was a white tagged item. As a side note, blue and white seem to be my lucky colors of the day as they were also the colors of the day on my previous thrift raid at an entirely different store, but that’s by the way. Getting back to my loot, my next find would be this beautiful, blue, kaftan by the brand, Miss Elaine:
I picked this one up for the full price of $3.98, as its tag was not the color of the day. It is midi length, has a zipper that runs across the length of the dress and I think it’s quite lovely.
My next find would be this lovely top by the brand, Joan Leslie:
The picture doesn’t do this top much justice but since I’m too lazy to take another picture of it, do take my word for it 🙂
The next item up would be, this Calvin Kline, two piece outfit:
I especially love this outfit because the cut to it is out of this world and being vintage Calvin Kline, you know it’s quite amazing but I also like the fact that it could be worn all year round. You could ditch the rather thick Jacket on warmer days and for cooler days, keep the jacket and throw on some tall boots and you’d be all set. Picked this one up for 35% off the $19.98 tag price.
Next item up would be this, Maggy London, leather-look skirt:
Now I typically steer clear of faux leather but I decided to give this on a try as I really like the design to it. Got this one for 35% off the tag price of $9.98.
The next item up is one of my non-vintage finds:
Now, the very first thing that reeled me in, was the burnt orange color to it, but what sealed the deal was how breathable the fabric was as I figured, it’d come in pretty handy for these super warm Texas days. Picked this cute Shein dress for the tag price of $4.98 as it was neither of the tag colors of the day but I honestly don’t mind at all.
The next item up would be my favorite, non-vintage find of the day:
I picked this Asos Utility Overalls for the full tag price of $14.98, as its tag was not the color of the day. Being that this thrift store was a little out of the way, I wasn’t sure when next I’d be headed back there or if I’d be lucky enough to find it when next I was there so, I made the decision to pay full price for it and am quite glad that I did.
Next item I got was this piece by the brand , Ermenegildo Zenga:
This gorgeous set was made in Italy and is so very well, made. I picked this one up for 35% off the tag price of $14.96 and was really glad to add it to my collection.
My very last item for this post would be this GAP blazer:
I picked this one up for the full tag price of $6.98 not only because it was reasonably priced even without a discount but also because it had a great fit to it and I really cannot wait to throw this piece over a pair of blue jeans and some flats when the weather gets a little cooler.
Well, that’s it for this post. I really hope that you enjoyed checking out my thrift store finds and will be seeing you on my next post. Goodbye now 🙂
